Preface of the book written by Brad
Tourette Syndrome is a disease of brain areas, causing uncontrollable muscle spasms sound and. In my stress level and then a bunch of other environmental conditions, I will issue a series of loud "WAH, wah, wah" sound, or a minute a few times "woop" sound. My face is very stiff, my body will twitch. I would twitch, will issue a barking (barks) can not control this terrible noise, so I grew up to be laughed at, tease, or even attack; I was also out of the classroom teacher before. In 九八 ○ years, doctors still do not know the neurological disease, not to mention the public. When I was young, and even hear the public say that I am an adult witches.Today, people in the supermarkets still staring at me, I do not see a movie or concert, with a girl is not thought. Per million population in the United States have a Tourette's patients, I am one of them.
If you can imagine such a life, then imagine how difficult to find work, to imagine the job that you have to speak in front of many people, have to do this work. Because I did not get growing up with peers and teachers the support and understanding, you can expect I will find a quiet one for their own work done at home to avoid the rude people stare. However, the lack of such support, lit I want to be a positive, the teacher's desire to accept people. Of course, we can not interpret a dream world, often before the twenty-four interviews ─ I do not want to hire a president of Tourette syndrome teacher.
However, I found that Tourette syndrome may not be hindered. The disease forced me to learn how to deal with it, but also gave me the confidence to achieve the dream, I want an efficient, caring teachers. Because of my Tourette Syndrome, so my childhood was isolated, lonely, and I think involved in their children's lives every day, is brought to the classroom teacher can give students the best gift, it requires a very high super-skills. I tell my students, Tourette's disease is never abandoned my friend, without it, I would not be who I am. It is a struggle it? Of course. Great harvest? Absolutely.
I think so: we all have the right to choose our life is half full or half empty cup.Younger, I choose to see my cup is full. Each of us has some drawbacks. Some are like me, an outsider to see, some can not see the appearance, such as fear of heights, lack of self-confidence, or reading difficulties, these people do not easily see. No matter what your situation, I hope that my story is a motivation for you. I hope it makes you understand, no matter what kind you have problems or defects, you can still make your dream come true.
Finally, I hope everyone like me, want to make the world a better place, we can do step by step. Education is important, ignorance is not a welfare grant. Please help me spread my message to you while also helping people who do not have sound.
